It taxes the imagination to think that this shoe, (& I own three pairs of this particular style) with its stiletto heels and sharply pointed toes can be actually comfortable enough to sleep in; but they are. However it doesn't really surprise me. I also ended up with a narrow width because mediums were sold out and they are working out, especially because this shoe does stretch. A close male friend and admirer of killer shoes took one look at these and instantly offered to buy them for me so that they would be "his shoes". I followed the advice to buy a half size up and now have extra room so I won't be able to wear them with nylons. The shoes stretch a ton. Make sure to break them in and you're golden. The half size worked perfectly and the shoes are everything I hoped they would be and some. I love a 4" heel so the height is perfect and the heel is sturdy. So far, I've only worn them through the house and I love the fit and feel. Can't wait to get out with this shoe and my after five dress that I bought for a reunion dance. This was the first Stuart Weitzman shoe I've ever purchased, so I'm not sure if it was this particular style of shoe in particular that fit small, or if all of Stuart Weitzman's shoes, in general, have a tendency to run a size or two smaller and have a narrower fit, overall. I've always been a size 10, and my size has not changed in over 5 years; so, I was a bit surprised when I tried this shoe on and it did not fit. It was very small, it barely fit my foot. It was about a half size too small, and rather narrow. I absolutely love the look of this shoe, and I think it is a fabulous classic black pump with a bit of a modern twist - and would be a great staple piece to have. I own many shoes by this designer; and with rare exception, have always been pleased with them, it is fascinating to me that a stiletto can be classy, chic, and comfortable, and this one certainly is.
