Gorgeous Ferrari-red color, surprisingly easy to walk in, they do take some breaking in for toe's comfort. Unlike most of the other reviewers, I went *down* in size from a 10 N to a 9.5 N and I'm so glad--the heel fits perfectly! I do have a really narrow foot and very high arch, and even on me the N is tight, but I like it for the security when I walk. So if you can ever wear Mediums without significant gapping, I'd go for the medium in this shoe. These shoes were a quite snug when I first put them on, but they stretched quickly and are most comfortable - especially for such a high heel. The best black shoe I have ever owned, and believe me I have owned some of the best. But this one just did it for me. I had my shoe for years. Until one day I went for a fitting at a major specialty store, and they lost it. They lost my favorite pair of black shoes. One thing I can say is that, that was a very sexy comfortable shoe. I ordered it a week before the event in my size; however, when I received it... I had one shoe in my size and one shoe was a size smaller. I contacted Zappos Customer Service and my representative was very nice and understanding, with her help I was able to rush them back and reordered but I only had a choice of a half size smaller than I would normally wear. The representative even sent me a hand written apology letter for the confusion! I had a hard time deciding what size to order as there is conflicting size information in all the reviews (but thanks to Zappos awesome free return policy, I knew it wouldn't be a problem, no matter). So, I just ordered my regular size 7.5M, and guess what, they are perfect! Pumps that are too big slip off at the back and flop around which is not good! I wore them around the house in bare feet for a couple of hours just to be sure. The toe area did "give" a little after doing that (I got the leather). I wore them out with black stockings and we walked around quite a bit. They are pretty comfortable (for an evening out, not for a major hike!) and I didn't have to take them off under the table at dinner! My husband couldn't believe I could walk so gracefully in them, but thinks they are gorgeous and sexy. If you have a wider foot order up one full size. I was taught when purchasing a pointed toe heel you order up 1/2 size to 1 size up depending on the brand. I originally purchased these in the size 11 in the Red and they were big but comfortable. They had to go back. I wanted to cry literally when I dropped the box off at the UPS store. Finally one pair left in my size, in Red and purchased them. These are not for the faint of heart. Buy these if you want some SERIOUS attention and compliments (I have these in black patent too). Both of my male roomates when they saw them said WOW! They just stared and keep saying over and over again those are really nice! Where did you get them? It was soo funny. If you can afford to buy them and your size is available buy them especially if they have them in RED! You won't regret it. They are by far the hottest pair of shoes in her closet. Well, these and the brown ones that I bought from another website because Zappos doesn't carry them in brown. They run about half a size small and are definitely narrower than marked. They don't come in a 5.5W so I bought the mediums and a can of shoe stretcher to stretch the width. It was worth the trouble because now they fit perfectly. Have them in red, wore them for the first time last night and rocked everybody's world! I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered 9M instead of my usual 8 1/2. The 9 actually proved to be a little too big for me - there was a slight gap in the back - the width was good and they were more wearable than I expected them to be. They're very high, so walking is a challenge, but the foot bed has very good cushioning. My feet never swelled. When I get the black, I'm gonna go for my usual size but in wide. I think that'll be the ticket.
